Has Anyone used a Naso to remove bubble algae?

I have read on at least four different threads on different websites that Nasos will completely eradicate bubble algae in a reef tank. Has anyone here done this?

My naso got rid of every single piece of grape caulerpa, but it leaves the bubble algae alone.

mine hardly ever touches algea...fwiw, i have a 5 inch hawaian male...

Dave, mine grazes but mostly relies on me to feed him Nori and Mysis -- I wonder why they are classified as herbivores -- when they love shrimp as much as veggies. Seems like they would best be classified as omnivores.

I have a female Naso, Dejardin Sailfin and a Black Shoulder in mine. I had several small spots of bubble algae which are now gone. Which one got it? I have no clue

Mine loves bubble algae. However, he seems to eat it as little treats when they're exposed between rocks or I drop in a new rock. I'm not convinced that if I had a tank full of bubble algae that he would do much.

Also- I don't know my bubble algae variants very well, but he definitely seems to favor the type that has a bunch of little bubbles together, rather than the large single bubbles - he can't seem to get his mouth around them, and gives up.

my tangs only seem to pay attention to bubble algea after its broken off and floating around. Then they play with it like a beach ball, but cant seem to actually eat the larger ones.

Emerald crabs work for me, but I still have to pull off the larger ones when they pop up.

+1. I picked up a colony yesterday that had some BA under it - he went crazy eating it.

Dave, I witnessed a Foxface that LIVED to eat bubble algae, if that helps. The owners of the store plucked it from various tanks and fed it to the Foxface as a treat.

I have seen them eat it, but not reliably. Best to remove the rock if possible and manually remove it. If removing the rock is too much of a pitb, then scrape it and suction it out. Emerald crabs helped me out after doing that.
