I'm setting up a new 220 RR FOWLR and much like every every fish enthusiast... I'm impatient when it comes to cycling.

My F/S recommended a product called Bio-Spira by Instant Ocean that claims to cycle a tank within a few days.

Does anyone have experience with this product? If so, how was your experience. Thinking if it claims days I'll at least give it a week.

Your thoughts?

I've used it, or something similar, but not so I could add fish any quicker. I did use it to help establish a bacteria population and then dosed ammonia to feed the cycle. I still waited 4-6 weeks before introducing fish. Be patient in this hobby. Moving too quick can cause significant issues that can be frustrating enough to force people out of the hobby.

If you want a truly great way to help your cycle, not necessarily make it faster, use true live rock in your system. It will already have the beneficial bacteria needed in the aquarium. Still take your time though. And make sure you buy quality LR in an effort to ensure it doesn't have any pests hiding within.
