Has anyone used this?

I have a regular HOB filter, but I thought this might help with filtration, as well. Has anyone else used something like this? Haven't set it up yet, but I'm also wondering if I could use it as a refugium, of sorts? The sections are pretty small, so I don't know if it would work, or be a good little hideout for copepods. Opinions? Advice? Reviews from someone who's tried it?

you can use it for mechanical filtration or chemical filtration but can be limited in terms of refugium use.

Thank you for answering my question. With my tank being entirely HOB, I'm glad it will help with filtration, to some degree.
