Ive been in the game for about 10 years now off and on with freshwater running the whole time. But I'm trying some new things and also running into some new problems.

First I made a decision to move my 14 bio cube over to a newly bought 29 HQI. But when it came time to start moving the fish and everything I noticed both of my black and white clowns just COVERED in Ich, so I moved every invert out and left my old tank as a quarantine tank, and began treatment last night. This morning sadly i lost my little buddy darwin to what i feel was the Ich, My other one is hanging in there and has no visible ich right now, and my scooter bleeny is still bouncing around like nothing ever happened. As long as everything goes good how long should i wait to move the fish over to the new tank?

Another question is my girl friend wants to start fragging using my old bio cube as a frag tank, are we gonna have to just start all over or will the copper medication eventually cycle out of the tank?

This is also my first dip into having a refugium on one of my tanks, i have the Chaetomorpha spp. in it, and i currently just have a led light bulb dangling behind the tanks viewing window, will that be enough light or should i look into getting that up a little bit.

Im gonna post a pic of the new tank set up so far, I havnt found a place for some of the corals yet and I'm still gonna add more live rock, and also a pic of the led I have in the back.

If you medicated, just wait the length of time in the instructions.
As for the copper in the tank, if it has live rock, get rid of it along with sand. The bare tank will be fine with a cleaning. Copper won't "soak in" to the tank or anything.

So the copper won't soak into the sand that i left behind?
and for the ich its back and attached to the clown fish, and he is in bad shape, but my scooter dragonet shows no signs of the ich, and is still bouncing around like nothing is going on, is there a reason why he doesn't seem to be getting the ich?

has anyone had any issues using aquascape putty in there tank? mine kinda clouded up my tank(expected) but my corals all look like crap now, parameters are fine

And would sticking a uv filter in the back on my tank help the little dude pull through, I'm really worried about him however and am not sure if its gonna be a issue by the time i can buy one tomorrow sadly

feed heavily. keep them eating and just wait it out. keep the stress to a minimum. if you do use copper the live rock and sand will be ruined. just toss it out and get stuff. in a qt tank usually its barebottomed and simple. but for your current situation i wouldnt change anything and just keep them eating anyway you can with minimal stress to the system

The qt tank is hanging in there, but the tank i move everything to is not doing good, i think the led i had on the macro algae wasn't strong enough and i think i got a good bit of die off because my ammonia is crazy high this morning, corals look terrible, kinda not expecting them to make it. Should i remove the chaetomorpha? I put a stronger light on it and I'm running that now, hoping to keep it alive.
