Ive been having some problems with nasty yellow/brownish algea growing on some of my rocks. Its fuzzy and whenever I get it all off the rock it comes right back. Some of my corals are half way closed up and have been that way for about a week. Does anyone have suggestions? Answers?

Could be a number of different algaes. We have to identify it before we figure out a treatment...

Sounds kinda like dinos though:

is it really that white, the alage?

nice tank you need to post some pics in your build thread.

What White? If its on the rocks it is probalby bad lol. Anything on the glass thats white is fine. How do I treat this algea? I had a really bad time and added a couple of PH's some phosphate remover and bam. Well this isnt going away!

i second the cyano slow down on the feeding cut lights off for 48 hours ,do a water change add new carbon good luck

well i guess i was wrong since cyano is not alage but some say a bacteria-alage mix.

I will do that. The only problem is that I dont feed much, at all. Really I forget and they dont get fed for a week, yet they still are full. I dont think that I am overfeeding. But I will shut the lights off for tommorow and the next day and add some carbon in tonight.
