Yeah, I've found a couple shells outside the tank and caught a couple before they died. Be nice if I could create a mesh top for the sump with appropriate cutouts but I just don't see that happening.
It's probably like my cat...can't wait to sneak out the door into the garage, but it only takes a few minutes of curious snooping to realize he prefers the comforts of the house.
