What heater(s) would you recommend for a 90g tank?

I was thinking about going with 2x200w to place in my sump, but didn't know if this was enough/too much.

Also, what brand would you recommend? I will be running the heater(s) off of my RKE.

Thanks.

That is completely situational. On my 72 I needed two 300w heaters to reach my desired temp without running the heaters constant. Now in a different room one 300w heater takes care of my 200.

The room that my tank will be in stays warm during the summer. My 14g BC stays around 81-83 during the day without the heater running, but of course that has a hood over it and the 90 will be an open top.

In the winter, two 250w heaters aren't quite enough on my 90g (we keep the house at 68 degrees). A third (200w) heater is there (set to come on .5 degrees after the others) in case they aren't keeping up. My graphs show that the third heater comes on during the night fairly regularly.

my 130 system volume (90 display) never shows my titanium heating element on for longer than 15 mins (I log it with the Apex, of course)..

it's a blue line titanium heater 250W

Thanks everyone for the information.

I like the Blue line heaters and the 250w is the perfect size for my sump. I think I might start out with 2 of them and keep an eye on how much each runs(through my RKE). I don't think I will have a problem during the summer because the room the tank will be in stays pretty warm, but if I notice that both are running more often after the summer I will add a 3rd one. I should have plenty of room in the sump for all 3 if necessary.

Thanks again.
