Hi Folks:
My heater is still working after 5 years and own some back-ups, but wanted to buy a good quality in-sump submersible. I figure some improvements were probably made after 5 years. I owned a Finnex which appeared to be very good quality, but didn't get more than a year out of it (used it to heat my water-change salt water (maybe I broke it - don't know).
So what do you think?
The ambient room temperature is between 70 and 80 (depending on the season and the T5 photo period). The tank has remains at between 78 and 81 all year.
I would appreciate any advice on make, model and wattage. I currently have a Visi-therm and don't have any complaints. I have a decent budget, but don't need more than what I need (if that makes sense).
I have 3 fish (thanks to my territorial gold-striped maroons which are 4 years old and can't part with them) and all softies in a standard 55.
Thank you for reading and best to all,
Tony
