Hello My Name is REEFMONSTER, Im an Addict

Well, they do look like percs to me, but I cant say that I would speculate theyre form the Solomons. Not that it matters (unless you paid a big premium for Solomon percs, which assumingly you wouldve done because theyre black). As for the anemone, it is a BTA. They dont always show bulbs.

Yea, the first tank I bought was from Eric, they are great guys and full of info. I have spent a couple thousand in there much more than any other store I have been in. Does anyone know if The Pet Showcase in Tyrone is still open or Wild Kingdom Pets in Newnan, I used to deal with them a lot too.

Both of those places are gone. Scott moved away. I live across the street from the one that was in Tyrone. He helped my wife with a tank in her biology class Yeah Eric helped me put my 65 together. Good dude

Just got back from the northside meeting a guy, got 2 nice size cleaner shrimp, yellow watchman goby, korialla nano, heater, and nano skimmer for a grand total of 40.00. Acclimating shrimp and goby now, gonna do a 5 gallon water change while Im at it.

I added a quarter sized regal tang this past Friday, She had an immediate ick outbreak, did a freshwater dip on her and she seems to be doing OK, just staying to herself but she is eating when I feed the tank. I had to remove the Blue Chromis as it was torturing her, I believe that is what stressed her into the ick outbreak.

I have a order in to Reefs2go for a cleanup crew, Pistol Shrimp for the Watchman Goby, and a Pearly Jawfish and also some zoas a couple of different ricordias and a mushroom.

I have added my first corals to the tank also, got 2 heads of branching hammer and a piece of orange Montipora from My Father in Law, they are actually frags of the colonies that I gave him when I broke my 120 down 2 years ago, so now they are full circle.

OK before the entire Tang Police Force gets here I'll say it first, be prepared to move the Regal out of that tank soon. Tangs need a much larger tank that a 28 gallon reef.

Regal Tangs reach 1 foot in length in the wild. I won't get into the moral side of it, just let you know that tangs need a much larger tank than what you have.

HMMM I think the Investigator might already be here! I am aware of the space they need, thats why I bought a SMALL one. When I think she has outgrown the tank I will either sell her or get a larger tank again.

I thought to post first because usually when someone posts they have a tang in a small tank the entire tread turns ugly and ends up getting closed by me or one of the other Mods. Folks get called cruel, inhumane, etc. So I hope that everyone that is reading this thread sees that the concern has been voiced and the thread can continue on without getting ugly.

I appreciate it too. Thanks, she is doing good right now but really she is smaller than my clownfish so she should be fine for a while, it will give me a good argument for a larger tank later, if I could talk the wife into it. she says we dont have enough room but I see all kinds of things that could go in a yard sale to make room i.e. curio cabinet, TV, Couch, who needs that kind of stuff anyways.
