First of all, let me explain something. I am cheap and I try to justify my expenses. I thought buying water was ok, not anymore. I need to know whom of you guys/gals use a system that also delivers drinking water.

BRS.... Not "cheap" up front, but in the long run their replacement filters are cheaper than others. Love my stage 5+ and happy with it. I highly recommend it!

size of tank? how much water do you go through in a week? I'm cheap i got the BRS economy 4 stage rodi and love it.

Great thing about this unit you can upgrade to a 5 stage down the road if need be.

+1

I use the same 5 stage system.

BRS 5 stage system for me as well. Easily worth the money IMO. Great unit with cheap replacement filters.

I love my BRS ro/di 5 plus. I've been using it for awhile and I just added the auto shut off today. (after a few close calls on overflowing my 55 gallon storage container)
Works great and comes with all the parts you'll need for several different types of hook ups. Money well spent

i have the brs stage 5 plus also and its a good unit. my old unit was a filterguys 5 stage and it was a good unit as well.

+1. I could have paid for a new BRS unit with the replacement cartridges I used in a year from my last RO/DI.:D

filters are filters correct? whether you have a spectrepure, awi, or brs ro/di, they all take the same 10"(or whatever) filters/cartridges right? so the replacements should be the same regardless of which model you buy. right?

7 years ago I got my 4 stage from
a> and haven't had a single issue.

Nope, you should also take into account the micron size of the filter and the chlorine capacity of your carbon blocks. Some carbon blocks will filter 6,000 gallons while others will filter 20,000 gallons.

We have pretty good water here in ATL. I like a 5 mic sediment filter, a 5 mic carbon block rated at 6,000 gal chlorine, and a .6 mic carbon block rated at 20,000. I have clean water!!
