help identify this coral

ok is it different from the neon greens because it doesnt have a stem with branches it has a bottom like a brainor is this because he has it in the sand.its about 3 inches across
 
If you attached it to a rock it would likely grow a short stem over a period of a year or so. And they split just like you are seeing right now. The heads increase in size, and develop another mouth and eventually close off to create their own individual head. The process takes months though.
