My PFO pendants supposedly had Phoenix 14KK lamps in them when I bought them. I have been doubting it, due to the color which is as blue as the Phoenix bulbs I've seen... either that or I was lied to about the age and the spectrum shift is severe, one or the other.

I replaced one today (the other will be replaced next week). I'd like to know what the lamp actually is, because if it is a whiter bulb then (if I assume the seller was honest about age) it is still young enough to keep around for a spare.

Markings are:

PEC LAMP
MH250W/TD
BLUE

I assume PEC may be Phoenix Electrical Company or something similar?

Thats what mine have on them. You can see the writing on the lamps to double check yours on this link:

Thanks, Tom. That's what I have, but they sure are white. When bulbs get old and shift spectrum, is it something that actually shows to our vision, or is it just the corals that "see" the change? For that matter, do they shift to a warmer (lower number) color temp, or vice versa?

My understanding is that they get a lower k rating, therefor turn "warmer" - even for the human eye.
