Help me decide ati t5 mixture

Ok guys about to order bulbs. I have a deep blue 80 shallow tank. 16 inches tall. I have a 4 bulb aquatic life. Heres what im thinking....


Daytime...AKA WHITES- 1 Aquablue special OR coral plus and a blue plus
Blues... 1 purple plus and one blue plus...

What do you think? is the aquablue more blue than the coral plus? this is my first t5 purchase

A bit modified as I have a 6 bulb fixture with 4 blue plus and 2 coral plus with amazing growth. The blue plus and coral plus both throw out amazing par levels along with the best spectrum needed for growth.

is coral plus a white daytime bulb?

For zoos
1 aqua blue special
2 blue plus
1 purple plus

You may even sub an actinic in for that daylight bulb. You'll have plenty of juice for Zoas IMO

Coral plus is a blue white. I'd call it a daytime lamp. But it's not like the ge6500.

Coral plus has a mixture of blue plus, aqua blue special and a tint on purple as well. Will be a cool white crisp color to the eye. The 3 blue plus will make zoas and anything pop in color along with the fish as well.

The Grim Reefer is who I garnered all my information from. I'd consider him a T5 lighting expert without a doubt.

I'm ordering ATI bulbs today for a 6 bulb t5 light which is over a 65 gallon. I'm going with 4 blue plus and 2 coral plus. Excited to see how these effect coral growth. Have read that they will have a 14-16 k look, or on the blue side which I prefer. Will post a pic when they are all up and running.

Aquablue special imo is the best white bulb and hear a lot of great talk about the blue plus

Just ordered them and they are 10% off at BRS. Got 6, 36 inch bulbs for $113 with free shipping. Can't beat that.

James that's the exact same combo I run, can't be beat for looks and coral growth.

I think you'll like that. if its a shallow (so that you don't need a ton of par) tank you can always use an actinic also.
