Help me with my 3 TDS readings.

Just recently purchased new filters/membrane for my AWI 75gpd ro unit. Purchased a brand new hand held TDS meter as well. Regardless of what we test it in bucket, freshly washed cup, we're still getting a reading of 3. Any ideas as to what it could be? We're pretty sure the lines are ran properly as well as the filters in the proper place. What kind of container are you guys using to test your water in?

what is your incoming and is it just a RO unit.. do you have a DI part as well?

I recall it coming in at 175. Yes, it does infact has a DI cartridge on the top.

Yep. I have some at the shop - I *think* it's 1500 PPM. (I'm not at the shop or I'd check).

did you make sure to change the DI cartridge? lol and calibrating might be the solution lol.. good luck... JennM... always there lol

If it had something to change, I replaced it. I tore it completely down and cleaned everything. Replaced all the hose as well.

hmm, interesting.. well mite need to be calibrated, your TDS meter, and have you thought about an inline TDS meter? I love mine.. makes life.. so simple with doing that lol

Yeah I had to remove that 50lb monster from my tank to get him out, and break a bunch of corals. I'm fine with it, just still traumatized by the whole event.

haha, it wasn't 50 pounds... more like 49.99999 pounds lol i feel ya tho. it would be kind of embarrassing tho you DID leave him in the coke bottle with a big hole which said you may leave at any time but hey its all over now... o btw how is your clam? i picked one up today too
