My first MH went and then I took the one that was good and tested it in the unit it also went out. I am clueless as to what to do. I am not knowledgable about electronics but my guess would be the two white things that the bulb fits into. These are Pheonix 250 14000K double ended.
What do I do now. bubba

Are you putting the right watt bulbs in?? And what kind of Ballest are you running them with?

Water splashing? Are the lamps just failing to light, or are they bursting?

What kind of ballast and what brand of lamp?

I know some lamps don't work with some kinds of ballasts, even if the wattage is correct.

Purchased from Aquatraders (need I say more?) I replaced the MH with bulbs recommended by Hellolights that have been working since February. Water is not the problem and if the lights were not the proper size I would have expected them to burn out instantly. Do we have any sponsors that can get me out and overnight purchase of a new fixture? Talked to you yesterday Jenn, I was trying to purchase a replacement bulb, had to be double ended

Odyssea light? What ballasts are you running?
I know they say the fixed the ballast problem to where they put out the correct watts, but do some searching on the net on your model to see if people are still having this problem. May have to do what others used to with the old version and put 175's in it.

First, thank you for everything.....when I tried to test the fixture with the remaining bulb it did not work. Remember, new person here....the timer had gone off and the test bulb would not work . New person, new person, new person!!! Saves me $140.00. Hellolights are replacing the first burn out because they suspect it was a faulty bulb. So sorry for all the panic..after all I have livestock that depend on that light for life. Thanks again, Bubba

Now that is freakin hilarious. If only it was that simple of a fix everytime.
So you gotta tell me.....how did you find out? Did the test bulb fire off when the timer came on?
