I used GE silicone II kitchen and bath to caulk on my sump and installed it in my tank, no less then 24 hour later half my tank looks insanely unhealth and my flame angle is dead. I unhooked the sump but what else can I do. I'm pulling out all other fish, coral in about 30 mins.

I would do a large water change. Also add Prime and Stability as soon as possible.

Edit: And of course get that silicone out of your sump, wash it with vinegar and water and redo with aquatic silicone that can be purchased at most all LFS.
Sorry for your loss.
Good luck.

Silicone II has mold inhibitors. Get it out now. Run a lot of carbon. Remove livestock if possible

Ok sorry for the broken message, was moving all my livestock to my biocube at work. It was a GE 100 percent silicone bath/kitchen. After reading further of the tube it says 100% percent silicone with mold protection 5 year guarantee. I will do a 50% water change tonight and put back in my old sump. I will go buy some more filter media tomorrow and get it running in the system. Anything other ideas / suggestions I'll defiantly do

sorry for the loss , I hope the other livestock pulls through alright.

its a simple mistake and simple fix that can be devestating if not caught in time. i did the same thing about a year ago and lost close to a thousand dollars worth of coral (mostly scolys and some sps.) i turned the sump off and did a couple large water changes and ripped out the baffels i installed, once i figured out the cause that is, and removed all the silicone i could and covered the rest with the right kind. i put it back in service and the problems were gone.

GE Silicone I Rubber Silcone for Windows is the only one without the mold inhibitor, which, unfortunately as you are learning, is toxic.

That or Marineland/Perfecto makes a tube of aquarium silicone that fits in a caulking gun like the regular stuff.

I hope you're able to save your stuff ... an unfortunate mistake for sure. If you haven't already, get the livestock OUT right away. The only fix is to remove all that silicone and begin again. The livestock will be OK in a food-safe plastic tub or any other aquarium or food-safe vessel, with filtration/aeration, (and light if for more than a day or two, for corals). Leaving livestock in there will be fatal.
