Help please....

I've attempted posting in members tanks but it won't let me. I am a paying member but I don't know...... Anyways, I've got a 49 gallon bow front tank and looking to set it up for salt water. I've done tons of research but still need to know where to get the salt water live rock etc for the cycle process. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hey there! First of all Welcome!!!

So if you go to the Forums menu tab at the top navigation bar, the very last link in that drop down will show you the sponsor map. Those are going to be stores that will sell salt, rock, livestock, etc. They will give you a discount for being a member which will pay for the membership fee in quick order!

You can also purchase a lot of those things online from various retailers but I think it's very useful to develop a good relationship with a live fish store as they will be a wealth of knowledge. You could also put some of the things you need into the WTB forum and other members may have items they could sell you.

I buy water at the LFS at the moment. Mostly at Optimum because they are closer to my work but I've bought at several. I've gotten cured live rock from them, but dry rock from BRS was better for a bigger tank.
