Hi Everyone,
New member here...

Please take a look at my plate coral that has started to turn black on the edge; is there any saving it or will it just spread? The Plate coral is about 15 years old...tank itself around 18 years old; fairly self sustaining :).

Thank you for your responses!
The more I think about it; there was a month where I didnt do any changes.

There aren't any sick fish in the tank.

I'll be upgrading to a 105g from the 60g next week...I'll be putting in new sand at that point.

Hope it hangs on until then...I might try a dip as well.

Thanks again

+1 on feeding. What kinda lights are you running and how old are the bulbs. When was your last water change and any recent changes or additions to the tank?

Haven't spot feed it in some time...but did today. I have been running Ecoxotic Panarma LED's.

Think the issue was lack of water changes a few months back.

Is something stinging it? Seems to be receding mostly one one side - take a look at what is closest to that, it could be getting stung by a neighbour.
