help with encrusting montis

i have a 300g sps dominated tank. all of my sps including acros, monti caps, and millis grow rapidly, polyp up, and are healthy. the only issue im having is with a couple species of encrusting montis especially my sunrise, purple haze, and now the forest fire monti cap. they have been alive now for months but do not polyp up and barely grow. the sunrise especially is pale and slowly deteriorating. oddly enough, i have rainbow and sunset encrusters and they are doin great. all of my parameters are in check and my lighting is 250radiums. I have tried diff lighting levels in the tank to see if they did better in diff situations but no luck. any help would be appreciated.

honestly, the only thing that comes to my narrow mind is perhaps you're giving them too much light.

My caps tend to do a lot better in the lower part of my tank... and by lower I mean bottom almost. I'm running T5s. so with radiums you may be over photosyzing them (new word there) a little too much.
