I got a 9002 for the Biocube. For some reason i can get it to do anything but produce water. Can anyone show me a picture of theres in the Cube?

Edit: Im not sure how to get more water in my second chamber besides filling it over the max line

Bump cant seem to get this right can anyone help

My problem is the skimmer is not making bubbles only blowing water in.

I would if I could, but I am getting the aquatic life 115 skimmer for my biocube. Good luck though, I had problems with just dialing in my biocube skimmer that it came with, and even still it barely pulls out any muck from the tank(reason why I am getting the new skimmer lol)

I was told this was the best skimmer to have for a Biocube. I just cant get the booger to work! I suck with skimmers

i dont know how it's set up.. .but is there too much water in the skimmer area? causing the cup to flood?

does it make bubbles at all?

It sounds like your not getting any air into the skimmer? I have a HOB skimmer on my 55gal tank and remember the fun it was the first few times to get it primed. I also read that alot of people removed a tab/chamber mod to get it to work correctly? (search here or yahoo)

Sorry, wish I understood the problem better.....

I've had a BioCube and I've owned the Tunze 9002, but never ran them together.

Do you have it in one of the rear chambers? If so, which chamber?

I can only imagine running a skimmer in the first chamber, as that was the only one that remained full. It should work providing it's not bushed too far down in the water column.

Is the skimmer below the water level it's supposed to be?

Edit: Oh, and could the airline screw be too tightly screwed in on the tunze? I'd unscrew it 75% of the way out until you solved the problem.

Take it apart and see if the airline is hooked up proper, I had one for a few days and when I set it back up for a test there was a tiny clear elbow inside if I remember correctly that had come loose

I would do what smallblock said. I used to have one and the little clear elbow inside was clogged and it was doing the same thing. It took a while for me to dial it in perfect, but it work really good after that.

if the blue screw on the side is underwater your pump will not pull any air. I would tank take the screw off, along with skimmer cup and see if it is pulling any bubbles. if it is pulling air, everything is connected correctly, put the screw back in and adjust your air intake to (the screw) to get a bunch of small bubbles to form your foam column.

if it is used or not pulling any air, i would take it apart. the bottom should come off if you pop a flathead into the little holes on the side to undo the locking mechanism. at this point take out the pump and make sure the hose is not blocked by any salt creep (if it is soak in hot RO water) and reconnect each side of the hose, put it back together and try it again. PM if you want me to email you a picture of mine tomorrow afternoon

Thanks guys I will try it again tonight. I took it apart twice and cleaned it.

How low or high should I have it in my bc? It's in my middle chamber ad it's to fat for #1. I see a blue wavy line I guess for water limit. This is the magnet one also. Not sure if it's new or old school

It is new school. I removed the mag with a razor bc it would not fit into a chamber in my solana. My water level is a little bit higher than the little wave line. I would start with a low water level and slowly move it down to figure out the best level.

But my middle chamber never gets that high. Hmm.

It would be awesome if someone with a biocube chimed in!

I'll try to prime it in a bucket tonight and see.

First chamber of a biocube goes over into the second chamber, the second chambor goes under to the third....

The water level in the second chamber of my BC would have never have gotten high enough to run a skimmer, only the first chamber.

Are you sure that isn't the problem, that the water level isn't high enough?

I've seen everyone do this on a bc29 on YouTube. They have theirs high. Maybe they block it some how. Not sure.

i keep my back chambers full almost to the top...the tunze would run in the middle chamber but you HAVE to have an ato system for it to run perfectly..otherwise chamber 2 fluctuates and performance of the skimmer is spotty...i just got a ato but have been running an aquaticlife 115 in the first chamber with good results...if i were to guess id think your middle chamber water is not high enough

Edit: ps the reason i keep my chambers so high is because i run the media baslet that is also in the video and you have to have the water that high to keep the filter floss in the top of the media basket submerged..since the guy who makes those media baskets also sells the tunze to run in conjunction with the media baskets id assume that high water level is where it needs to be for the tunze to function properly...

Edit: pps...if you do have the water at the correct level make sure u dont have the tunze turned all the way up...if i turn my aquaticlife all the way up it fills with water too...u want the bubbles to stop halfway up the input cylinder of the collection cup

Gonna work on this later this weekend to much going on thanks for all the help guys

+1 on ato, it is the only way to truely have effective skimming going on the reg. I have to run the water level high with an ato to make it work well.
