thanks for any and all help.. :-D

Chris

sorry about the pic i took it with my iphone

your pic looks like an aptasia, if it is confirmed as an aptasia, then you might try joe's juice or a lime juice concentrate mix. not sure about it though. never had one *KNOCKS ON WOOD VERY HARD AND LONG* :)

i leave my moon lighting on all the time as for the actinics, i have mine come on at 8a then the daylights come on at 9a and go off at 7p then the actinics of at 8p. mine is only ten gallons plus a fuge. fuge lights are reverse cycle from regular lighting.

others may have different suggestions

def. aiptasia--you need to get those out asap--joe's juice works great-they multiply QUICK! The light schedule sounds good that Kirru suggested

oooo goody, got a few things right on my first advice, i'm accomplished now :) thanks eric.

you can get joe's juice at a LFS I'm sure. where are you in atlanta? i'd call a few places that are open tomorrow to see if they have any.

any LFS should have it--it's gonna be something you're gonna fight for a while-just b/c you won't be able to see all of them; it would help to get a couple of peppermint shrimps as well. They're kinda hit and miss, though--you just stick the syringe in the aiptasia's "mouth" and squirt it-and poof! literally makes pieces of the aiptasia--just stay on it for the next couple/few weeks and you should nip it in the bud.

how long has the tank been running, if you just put it up and there were no inhabitants, i'd move the rock around to see if I could get all of them just to be sure and make it less of a pain in the future.

ditto to what kirru said-if nothing's in there-just take it out and 'cook' it.

just put it up today.. took out the 2 pieces i could see it on.. going to just buy some new rock from Chris at einsteins.. i dont want to even chance missing any and i dont know what else may be in the rocks that i dont know about

any rock you get could potentially have it--not to knock Chris or anything, he's a great guy-but it could happen anywhere. If you just 'cook' the rock or just let it sit outside for a few days then rinse off real well you will be fine-I wouldn't throw it out-that's a good waste of LR

but if you really wanted to... i"ll be happy to come get it :) i need some for my 40 breeder build.

If I were you I'd just take it all out and cook/dry out---b/c chances are it could have spread on the others you just don't see it yet-

i still have quite a bit left in the bucket it came in.. i live on buford highway in atlanta if anyone wants to come take it ill take some newbie corals as trade or anything really as i have just few that came with the tank.. 2 big shrooms and some zoas.. im not knocking the rock i got... but it isnt quite creating the aquascape i wanted :-p i had this vision on a big sorta rock on a pedestal with like a hole in the middle for fish to swim through lol .. guess im wanting something i prolly wont find

I'd come get that rock, but i dont have much corals either as my tank has been only running since sept 10 but i dont think my corals are beginners except the two zoa frags i have. o and my star polyp frag, but when they grow out I'll frag some if you haven't got them already

also starting to notice some worm looks things on the rock kinda like ringworm looking
