i need to catch a gold head sleeper goby bf he burys all the coral on my sand bed! i have a fish trap but he has no interest in food so he wont go in it! i gotta get him out help please! oh by the way its a 180 thats 30in deep so, yeah!

Ugh... that isn't going to be easy :(

No sage advice here... you may have to move a lot of stuff around to get him out.

oh no dont say that jen! hopefully we can trap him! ive got some glass panels im gonna try to box him in

I've heard tridents work well......no garantee on him living tho....lol.....

ok....so the first thing you do is set up a video camera facing across the room in the opposite direction of your tank......then drop a M80 in the tank to where it falls in his burrow.....after about 4 seconds take off running across the room and make a diving catch of said goby.....(don't forget celebratory dance!!!!).....then upload video here and YouTube......and before long it might make it onto Top 50 sports bloopers of the decade....

Good idea - we do that for eels...

To expand on the idea a bit - small length of PVC pipe, on the bottom of the tank. If/when the fish goes in, stick a net on each end of the pipe, and lift the whole assembly out.

Works like a charm for eels - it might work with the goby too :)

Good catch MD!

i will do! he is a super healthy fish, eats daily and keeps the sand looking new, however like i said hes burying my delicate corals! not good! i almost lost my orange plate last week bc of him!

But In all honesty.....the PVC pipe may work pretty well.....that's how I caught my jawfish....

ill try it! thanks guys/girls, my tank is over 30" deep so that dosent make things any easier;(
