Wait, is the foam in the skimmer supposed to STAY?? Mine will have a little foam, but then it disappears.. It'll just leave a pool of green good at the bottom of the catche.

I'll check when I get home. Things looked stable when I left home this a.m., but the tank was was not yet awake. Thanks!

I need to get out more... It's so wrong when the highlight of my day is a picture of Jeff getting lashed with a GBTA tentacle stuck in my headhttp://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxmk788YYUS">[IMG]http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_3.gif" alt="" /></a>!!

:mad2: Darn it Linda you said you would shred those pictures!:yikes:

Just for future reference, you can add vinegar to a tank to drop the pH. Go slow - it doesn't take a whole lot. For my 300g system, I used around a cup at a time and waited a few minutes to check the result. When my tank crashed from my runaway kalk reactor about a year ago, I added almost a gallon to drop the pH from 10.0, and it dropped to below 8 in a matter of minutes...
