I recently purchased this fella from Jeff.
This will be my third attempt at keeping a clam in my Red Sea 250.

My first one died due to my ignorance of it's needs. I'm still feeling the guilt over that one.
I think the second one died because due to over heating. Not 100% sure of that but that's my gut feeling.

Both were less than 2 inches.

This fella is quite a bit larger than the first two.
So far, so good. He's put his foot down and is fully relaxed. He responds as a clam should and so far, seems to be in a good location with the right light and the water parameters are just as a clam would order (if a clam could do so).

What do ya'll think?
Happy?
Any suggestions?
I'm open to any and all thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks!

I intend to treat him like an old man.
Leave him the hell alone and just enjoy watching him.

Watch that blenny. They can nip at the mantle.

I've heard that before. If he starts any trouble, I have a special place already set up for him.
I've been trying too hard to get a clam to establish it's self in my tank.

Right now, the blenny and the firehawk are acting like little guardians of the clam.
They sit next to him as if to challenge anyone to mess with it.
