High reflective, heat resistant coating, lining, paint...?

aluminum may look more reflective but white paint has all its reflective advantage strictly because its the color white

Do you have any information to back this up? I've always read that white paint reflects more overall light than a mirror (due to the glass, a mirror loses about 10% of the light that it reflects). I seem to remember reading that white paint was 90-95% reflective, depending on the gloss.
 
Regarding the white paint, I was curious to see how tileboard/whiteboard material would work.
