I have some very small what I think are anemones in my tank...3 of them all about the size of a "finish nail" head....maybe 1-2 mm across....just wondering if anyone knew what kind they might be...brown body with long brown tentacles....and a luminescent green mouth/center...there were 2 a few days ago and now three so they're starting to split....just wondering if they should be removed.....one has moved almost 4 inches in 24 hrs....quite a bit for something that size

Definitely not aiptasia....the mouth is a very bright flourescent green.....and they don't have the clear body like aiptasia....I actually thought they were Zoas initially till one of them started moving around like that

its a bad pick.....from my iPhone....sorry....

they dont look like mojano either.....like i said they way they are grouped together i thought they were zoas....

yeah one of them has moved almost 4-5 inches up a new rock in the last 36 hrs

Man if only it were a case of hitchhiking walking dendros. It's not some strange nudi or anything is it? It is staying attached for the most part with a foot?

yeah i wish its was some type of crazy walking dendro.....they look almost like dendros.....body wise.....but with opaque brown tentacles.....and they are staying in place with a foot....i wish i could get a better pic.....guess ill be needing a new camera soon....

See if this helps any

id try to isolate the rock.....but its about a 25 lb piece and the main base of my aquascaping.....i wouldnt be bothered had they not gone from 2 to 6 in just the last few days.....they were in my old tank for over 3 yrs and never moved or split.....thats the only real reason i even paid any attention to them recently....plus like i said....at the moment they are all 2mm across or less

Looks like Majano to me. Take a look at the pic. Majano is on the left and Aptasia is on the right.

yeah ive had them both before......but neither look like these do.....like the outer row of tentacles are only on the rim in a straight line just like a Zoa.....but they move around to get to the light like an anemone.....ill try to get a better pic ASAP......but gotta get a new camera.....6mp isnt going to cut it apparently.....probably get one up later today....i guess the only real description i can give is that....the mouth disk is solid green like a zoas would be....the outer ring of tentacle are long like a anemones/some zoas would be.....the group together like zoas.....but they move 4-5 inches overnight like a nem would....and they close much much more quickly when touched like a anemone would.....like i said ill try to get a better pic up today....thanks for all the help so far....they honestly look pretty cool so i dont wanna nuke them before i know exactly what they are
