HOB Skimmer question/issue.

I started using a Aqua C Remora pro HOB skimmer about 2 weeks ago. This unit has a drain. Over the last couple of days I have noticed a lot of excess water (slightly off color in the drain bucket. At first i would get about a cup or 2 per day in the bucket and now I am seeing about 3/4 of a gallon per day.

Any thought on what is going on and how to fix?

Raise the cup up by adjusting the rubber band lower.

Or sell it to me at a discounted rate

Sounds like you have the collection cup set too low, and while it was breaking in</em>, you got less skimmate, now that it has broken in,</em> you are getting way too much

If you raise the collection cup all the way up and still having this issue, I'd look to the type of pump you are using, but these skimmers are pretty Dummy-Proof/ Plug-And-Play. Theres only so many things that can go wrong with the Aqua-C Remora, unless its been motified in some way unkown to me
