Anyone have an inkling why this frag is "melting"? Of course I've checked all parameters and they are where they should be. Just got the frag two days ago..looked good at first. Going to leave it in but I think it's a goner. Everything else in the tank is stellar and loving life.

if you've checked ammonia, possibly something dead underneath the rock behind it?
If everything but that is fine, try moving it and see what happens. Looks like it may be gone though.
I had something like this once and it was a mushroom that floated free and was dying underneath a rock beside my piece.

I can't see any other corals nearby - but is there anything out of the photo that could be stinging it?

I've seen that happen, and it was from a neighbouring coral putting a whammy on it - usually at night.

Euphyllia, Chalices, and anything that puts out long sweepers can do that.
