Home depot eggcrates?

Are the eggcrates from home depot the same thing all of us are using? I've always bought mines from either a LFS or gotten them from friends so I'm not sure if there is a difference. I'm in need of some now and saw some at HD that I'd like to pick up. Thoughts?

I use the same stuff in my fresh water for aquascaping. Works great!

I just need about a square foot of it to make a stand for my new skimmer coming in to rise it up a little since my water line in my sump is pretty high, but I will most likely use it for other things down the road so I'll just pick up a big sheet from HD. Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it.

They only sell white at all the HD that I know over in the lighting section (Called a light diffuser). I don't know of anywhere locally besides a fish store that has black egg crate.

Be sure to cure it so the plastic does not leach phosphates into your system.

He's using a little chunk to raise his skimmer....Highly doubt it will be problematic.
