For those worried about a power outage while sleeping there are a few apps you can get for a $1 which, with the phone plugged in, will notify you if the power goes out. I purchased a generator and all that and use the app on stormy nights. Haven't had to use it yet!

It just says "Electricity" on my home screen. It's developed by Agile Dimension if that helps.

I searched for "Power outage alarm" and it was the second result. Has about 10 reviews.
