so, im ready for a housing for my diy LED pendant. the sink (and thus the pendant size) is about 7.5 x 15. It is only a few inches tall. I think it would be pretty cool to have a housing made of clear acrylic. I worked too hard on everything to cover it up. Basically I need an acrylic box with a way to sit the sink down into it to leave room for optics and then a shield at the bottom... I'll attach a google sketch later...

what do you guys think? it SHOULDN't be expensive to have made should it? Any acrylic folks out there?

could always find out from MRC.....wouldnt think just a small box would be very much...

ok here is what i kind of had in mind in a VERY crude 3d rendering (without the end to make it easier to see). The actual sink would sit down on the acrylic blocks on the inside and there would be a gap between the botom of the sink and the shield to allow for optics.

next I'll put a sink in there

the sink would just sit inside.. again.. without the last side for ease of viewing

I have the scrap acylic, the tools and adhesive. Unless you are wanting a perfect piece of art you can build your own in less than an hour at my shop with my help.

ok.. frustrating.

i have tank, plumbing, supply pump otw.. but still haven't an idea about how to tastefully put my light on the thing.

I want something modern and sleek, without a lot of bulk.

What is the stand made of? Make a matching pendant, same style and color, and stick the LED unit in there.

got a general idea of what you want maybe a pic to start from or a sketch. I will try to help you with something acrylic.

Scroll up a few posts. The only thing I would change is making the sides come down over the square that holds the sink up, so that it actually sits on the sides of the tank. Confusing I know. Really need to make the bottom of the sink a foot from the top of the tank to allow the LEDs adequate spread.

I ended up using an old table that is much shorter because of where it is in the room.
