I am about to start using filter socks and I would like to know the best/easiest/fastest way to clean them. They are felt socks and I will be cleaning about 10 of them at a time.
Thanks for the help,
Curt

Washing machine on normal cycle, capful of bleach. Rinse cycle after. Then before I use them again I presoak in RO/DI water and Prime to be sure. Haven't had any issues.

Water hose. It is quicker and they get cleaner. At least for me

I turn them inside out, then run them under the spray head at my utility sink. Every 3rd cleaning, I toss them in the wash with a non-detergent soap and bleach. Let dry for a couple of days and they are good to go!

I rinse in the sink, turn inside out, put in a bucket, fill with water and a couple caps of bleach. Let sit overnight. Wake up, rinse, flip back the right way, put back in bucket with new water and seachem "safe" then after I get home from work I put them in my sock bucket.

I am wondering about the bleach as well. Bleach is really just a disinfectant does it do anything to remove the gunk from the sock or does it just turn them white?

I've been wondering about using the dishwasher?

Capt do you know what these socks capture? There is no way I'm putting that with my eating utensils!

Thanks everyone for the info!

But mesh doesn't filter as effectively as felt. ;)
