How far in advance do you make your water?

That is interesting. I see this behavior ... cloudy water!

I would love to be able to use or atleast try seachem salinity but because I like to mix my salt for about 12-36 hours, due to lifestyle, that salt mix will not work for me bc it is best at around a 3 hour mix, longer and it makes your tank cloudy.

I like reef crystals bc of the ease and I have setup my system to cater to the lower ca and alk comepareitively.

Just a thought...

I always keep 28 gallons made up. I used 15 of it each weekend and add salt and RODI water to keep it full. An hour or so before the water change I check and adjust the salinity level if needed.

I do keep a power head in the container and have done this for well over two years with no problem. (What's the difference if the water is in a storage container or in your tank?)

Pretty much what I do exactly.

I have been useing Seachem Salinity since relase date. Only having a 40g tank (for now) i have only gone through 3 of the big buckets.

I have a rubbermaid 32g trash can that I use to hold my saltwater in. It constantly stays mixed up and I have never had a problem with doing it this way.
