I'm just curious how stocked other people keep their tanks. Personally, I'm in this hobby for the fish more than the coral, so I keep my tank heavily stocked. I'm at the point though where I don't want to add other fish without taking some out... Unfortunately, I need ONE more fish to complete my tank. So I'm wrestling with just throwing one more in there.

Anyways, I have 16 fish in my 82. Total water volume is just ~110.

I completely agree. In my 210, I have:

1 Acanthurus maculiceps- 8" easy
1 Yellow Tang-4"
1 Chevron Tang 5"
1 Pair Crosshatch Triggers
1 Square spot Anthia
2 Dispar Anthias
1 Pair Maroon clowns
1 Aussie Tusk Wrasse 1 1/2" (awesome!)
1 pair watanabe angel

Heavy bioload!!!

90gal with 75gal sump.

1 3" blue tang
1 4" yellow tang
1 2.5" flame angle
2 clowns
1 cleaner shrimp
lots of misc cleanup critters

I thought I had a full load but maybe not?

I my 75 I had
4" Regal Blue Tang
1" GS Maroon clown
3" Blue Watchman Goby
2" Atlantic Pygmy Angel
2 x Cleaner Shrimp

I'm very conservative with my fish bioload.

54 Corner
3 clowns (yes they all love each other)
1 Bi Blenny
1 (unknown but it will be something)

I have the following in my 180:

1. 1 Square male Anthia
2. Pair Of Clowns
3. 1 Sailfin Tang
4. 1 Coral Angel
5. 1 Chromis that I can't catch
6. 1 Lawnmower blenny
7. 1 bicolor blenny
8. 1 Regal Tang
9. 1 Naso Tang
10. 1 fat Mandarine Goby which of course is my FAVORITE fish. At nite I would shine the light and watch him in his favorite little sleeping hole.

Forgot my total volume is 320 gallon.

About 75 gallons total, and currently

2 clowns
1 wrasse
1 yet unamed

Then tank will be full

My 55 (I have tank envy) has the following:

1 clown
1 foxface
2 cleaner shrimp
1 coral banded whose days are numbered
1 anemone with purplish wavy arms (something like a "cocktail anemone"?)
3 emerald crabs (unless the CBS has gotten 'em)
6 hermit crabs (unless the CBS has gotten 'em)
2 ornamental cone snails
a few other tiny snails

My wife wants a yellow tang... I'm trying to convince her otherwise.

total volume ~300gal

1 achillies
1 purple
2 clowns
1 blenny
1 copper band
1 six line
1 scotts
16 anthias
I will add one bristle tooth tang in the near future....

You should get the tang...anything to keep the wife excited about the hobby!

In my 55g, I have the following:
Yellow Tang
Tomato Clown
Coral Beauty
White tailed Dwarf Angel
Niger Trigger
Assorted snails and hermits...although I think the trigger ate a few.

I'm hoping to part with the trigger and angel and get a blue tang...those will go in a 72g that i'm upgrading to.

In my 24g aquapod I have:
False Perc clown
Yellow Watchman Goby
Yellow Clown Goby
Blue Chromis
6line wrasse.
Fire Shrimp
assorted snails and hermits.

And in my 29g bowfront (at least I think thats the size):
2 stinky goldfish

In my 20 (total of 25 gallons) I have:

1 pair of false percs
1 yellow watchman
1 randalli pistol shrimp
1 cleaner shrimp

I will probably add another 6line and be done. My last jumped to his demise

Danny,

That conspiculatis angel is at one of the tanks at work. I knew it was on the rare list, but I didn't realize *how* rare until one day I saw this guy chasing it around the tank with a cmaera trying to get a shot of him.

He told me that it could go anywhere from $5,000 - $10,000 and even then, most collectors could only get one every five or ten years. It was the only one he had ever seen live, so he was trying to get a picture of it.

I wish he'd left me his email address... I snapped that picture with my cellphone a few weeks later. He found a cleaner shrimp station right by the front of the tank that he likes, and now he holds still for moments at a time, easily photographed... even smiling once in a while and offering to sign autographs!

Loren,

She's got a list...

Yellow Tang
Royal Gramma (we've had two go down)
Flame Angel
Royal Tang
Blue Damsel
Seahorses
Mandarinfish
Clown Trigger
Blue-Ringed Octopus (she's since backd off since I told her about some of the possible side-effects of having one of these guys)
Purple Tang
Juvenille Emperor Angel (but kep him that way)
Lionfish
Moorish Idol
Longnose Hawkfish
Queen Angel

What have I DONE??????

heheheheh!!!

My wish lists are a little different (and yet... somehow somewhat similar)

Lol, sounds like you need a new tank...a really big one.

I know what you mean about the emp angel...my wife wants one but only if it stays like "a blue thumbprint".

In my 75 gallon. Total system volume~225 gallons:

2 False Percs
1 Yellow Tang
1 Royal Gramma
2 Fiji Damsels
1 Green mandarin
2 Cleaner Shrimp
3 Peppermint Shrimp
2 Pom Pom Crabs

I think I may be at my limit. :D
