How many MP60's?

Tank is 96''x36''x30''.

I currently have two and hoping three will be enough, two on each end and one on the back wall. What say you?

I can't imagine 3 not being enough... maybe Dave will chime in. I think he has 2 plus a 40 or two on his 300DD?

If you want complete coverage I would go with 2 mp60( 1 on each side) and 4 mp40 ( 1 every 2ft on the back wall) you could go with 4 mp60 on the back wall but you would have to dial it to low

Whats the maximum glass thinkness for the 40's?

3/4" by the book.

Jesse I use MP40s on my 300g tank. It has 3/4" glass so the rubber spacer is totally removed for that thickness.

I have a 96"x24"x24" and I use 2 mp60s on the ends and 1 mp40 in the middle. I really have to dial down the mp40. Since your tank is wider and higher. I think 2 mp40s on the back and 2 mp60s on the ends.

My 5 ft tank ibam already using 5 mp40. I don't think 2 would be enough on the back. The cone on the mp40 isn't that wise to cover that.

you have to consider the mp60s on the end. I guess you can always have more since you can dial it up or down as needed.
