how often do you change kalkwasser media?

quick question...how often do you guys out there wait before changing the kalkwasser in your reactor?? ie how do you know its exhausted..???

If you have a true reactor (not open to the air), then just change it when it's all gone...

thats what i figured,,but wasnt sure if all the media actually was dissolvable...my effluent ph is still high, but i havent changed the media in over 2 months....calcium still over 540,,though i do have a calcium reactor..kh at 8, and ph chronically at around 8.45

You could probably cut back on the calcium there...

My reactor with 3-4 cups of kalk lasts 6-8 months.
