So I found one of those "Magic Rocks" kits on clearance for $2 and picked it up. The acrylic tank is 5.6" wide x 1.8" deep x 3.3" tall, and appx .15 gallons. Figure I can drill it and put some kind of closed loop system, or use one of my mini powerheads (though I fear that will be too powerful) and turn it down.

The only difficult thing I can forsee is temp stability. Am I dreaming that I could keep some zoas, shrooms, GSP and a crab/snail in there? No, no fish for now, maybe an Achilles Tang in the future, but not yet.

Oh, and I have an idea for some LEDs, but can't share that just yet.

Haha, I was thinking of running it on my desk, no sump, daily water changes from my 10 (which receives 1 gallon every 3 days from my 90).

as long as you have a stable room temp, lights and maybe a small hangon the back filter your water temp should be fine. if you need it to be warmer you can use a small heating pading w/ has an adjustable temp setting.
