Can I get some ideas from ya'll on how to culture your own photoplankton?

This is pretty much what I went by when I was culturing my own. It got the point where I couldn't split fast enough.

got there too and as I was running out of room, the cultures started degrading (not so dark green) and eventually it crashed when I forgot to split it in time. Spend some money on Instant Algae, freeze 90% of it when you get it in small bags or containers and it's good for 2 years.

if you still want to grow it florida aqua farms has some good points too, that's where i got starting cultures and some equipment

Ditto on instant algae. Live phyto is a PITA. I did it for a long time. Also, if you are culturing rotifers - you will eventually innoculate your green water with them. Between harvesting (splits), avoiding crashes and potentually getting rots in there ... you'll definitely have more fun mowing the lawn.

Once you go instant algae, you will never go back.

first link :)

there's several types I use nannochloropsis

Great info guys. I guess my goal of asking this was to find a different way of feeding my corals and sponges. Right now I use only photofeast but I'm thinking i'm going to need to use more of an assortment. To those of you that use Instant Algae what else, if anything, do you feed your corals, clams and sponges?
