Just not sure the best way to plumb the return line for this 40b.
Info:
- Have a Fluval SP6 return pump (awesome pump btw!) good for about 3400gph on the box but its 3/4" the whole way so I'm sure that's reduced a good amount.
- its feeding a chiller (reduced by valve), a manifold (reduced by valve) and two 80g tanks. Flow out of the tanks doesn't seem intense. Wondering how many more tanks it can actually handle
Options:
- have the drain from the 80g above just gravity drain into the 40b and not even use the loc-line that i drilled. BB with a mp40 so not worried about detritus build up
- add a Y to the main return line like I did for the 80g pictured and run a dedicated pipe to the return of the 40
- add a T to the flex pvc return line for the 80g that's coming off that Y and split that pressure
- make room for a second return pump in the sump to feed this 40b and another one I plan to put online
I'm sure there's not one right answer which is why I feel a little stuck here. I could maybe close the valves to the manifold and chiller a bit more to give me more pressure to the return line.
Anyone have thoughts?
