how fast should you lower your salinity to kill ick afew days or a week ? i plan to go to 1.008 to 1.009 .i know you have to keep it at this salinity for about a month thanks

You can move pretty quickly, but it's best to take it slow. Just syphon off a bit everyday and top off with RO. I'd lower .02 a day until you get to 1.010 and keep it there for 6 weeks. I usually do a RO dip too, but that can be pretty stressful to some fish. FWIW algae and cyano will get worse at the lower salinity.

I vodka dose and use tech-m and use ultraviolet so hopefully that will keep algae and cyano in check
