I.d. algae

This burgandy algae is popping up everywhere. Is it good or bad?

I cannot be sure from the photo, however, the red stuff appears to be "cynobacteria" and the green stuff hair algae?

not enough nutrient removal &/or addition of too much vodka.....
 
I don't think that's cyano. easy test, take a turkey baster and push some water on it, does it fly off?

Too "formed" to be cyano. Almost encrusting looking how it's on the rocks. Might be a type of coraline. Hard to tell from the pic though. Might even be a sponge....again, hard to tell from the pic.

Looking at the pic on my phone that was my first thought. I have a lot of light and dark red coralline on my rocks as well as Deep Purple. No silly, coralline not the band. LOL
 
I have the light purple coralline. This dark colored stuff started popping up about a month ago. But if its good rock-on.
 
Yeah I want to say it's another calcium based algae...good. It comes in all sorts of colors.
