I.D. Help Please

I have no picutes looks like a Button Polyp but shorter base clear in color all over eats well. I try to pull then off with tongs and they close up and only pull off pieces of them then they come back out of the LR. I think it also kills other corals it touches also these items spread easy usually grow single have not seen groups. What are these and how do I kill them ?

aptaisia x, a very small amount of kalkwasser (im to scared to try this), or just pull the rock out of the water for awhile

Aptasia or majanos. I have majanos. they freakin suck. I can't get rid of them all. Kalkwasser was only so successful. Once I moved my tank and just put a fire under each one of them and boiled them off as i put the rocks back in... but that killed the purple algae too. I've also just taken the life rock out and pumped the bugger's mouths with fresh water and let it sit out of the tank for a few hours. Little tank hitchhikers also abandon ship at that time. ones you want, put back in the tank and others, flush.

shrimp are hit and miss...

that being said I bought 7 at once about a year ago.... had some serious issues with pest anemonies ... within a week all the pests were gone..

still have 3 shrimp that call the tank home .... still no glass anemonies... ANYWHERE

Search for a post by Dave (Acroholic)... search for "napalm". The "napalm" recipe (which is basically Kalk paste with some lye added) works phenomenally well. It was what finally did the trick when I had "killed" the same single majano five times. Works great on aiptasia also.

Peppermints didn't work for me... I had 2.
