Ok, so I'm going to violate my own rule. I hope you guys can help. My camera royally sucks, so I can't get any sort of picture, and haven't been able to find anything on here or other sites. There's something bothering my PPEs. They are very small, probably 3-5mm and have been the same size for quite some time. They have a straight tube body, similar to a vermatid snail, but instead of two long tentacles coming out, it has what looks to be the disc and tentacles of an anemone. The tube is hard, so it's not any anemone that I know of, even though at first glance they look kind of like very very small aiptaisia, or however it's spelled.

So, looks like a tiny mix between a vermatid snail and aiptaisia, but it's neither. Any thoughts?

They are,
But their "tentacles" irritate corals enough not to open...

+1 on the hydroids......i have a small group of colonial hydroids but they arent close to anything so im not bothering with them...................for now........

get those things OUT of your tank NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll be sorry....................

I have the same problem. I removed some live rock they were on and thought I got them all. I've been keeping an eye out for them and now it looks like I officially have an outbreak. My tank has been looking real good and now I get this! Has anyone had much success getting rid of these things? I've done some reading up on them but could really use some positive testimonials. At this point I'm pretty discouraged and I haven't had to deal with these things in the 5+ years my system has been set up.

Will do. I guess I've been lucky so far, haven't had a serious outbreak. I know what I'm doing tonight!
