I don't know how it happened

Somehow my Kenya tree died in my nano cube. 12 gallons under par38 bulb. I have 2 bubble tips doing great, various plays and zoas, mushrooms and star polyps, and a large toadstool all doing well but I killed a Kenya tree!

No idea why

It's been all alone since the beginning for exactly that reason. It used to open nice and big, but had been laying down for about 3 weeks

How many inches away was the next closest coral and what/how big was it? Everything else is ok?
Maybe a tank shot would help.
Do anything to the tank recently? What are the water parameters?
Your answer is in there somewhere.

This is it from a day or two ago. It is over on the left side by itself. It's only a couple inches like that but was at least tripled when expanded.

I haven't tested it, just weekly water changes and everything else is doing great

I noticed a rip/tear at the base, probably the cause or an effect of dying. The only thing in there is a clownfish, a couple snails and an emerald crab

Mine did the same exact thing and is growing a small one where the old bigger one died.
