I have .....

I use 10ml's per 2 cups water per Reggie's (reeferman) suggestion of the Bayer. I've never had a casualty from the dip itself.

You have plenty of time.....they rarely kill acro.....

Ralph, what dosage (mg) of the interceptor was used to treat the tank? Or mg's per said amount of water? Did the interceptor contain praziquantel or was it straight milbemycin oxime, or do you know? I'm just curious.

It was straight interceptor....

I followed Dave's advice, except after a 2 time return I went with 2 treatments instead of 1, and I have never seen them since....years....

Go buy yourself a 10 gallon tank and fill it with your tank water and put your inverts in there then treat the tank, or see if your local fish store will hold them. Problem solved :)

thanks for the idea, but its nearly impossible to catch shrimp in my 120 :(

I've treated my whole tank in the past and was lucky enough not to lose anything but red bugs. Guess I was lucky? Snowman you got PM.

Yeah that a nice sized tank, maybe you can make a trap and get them over night. I looked at this is looked kinda easy.

Interceptor comes highly recommended but the shrimp may or may not , you could try lower dosages but that may not even kill the red bugs , have you not gotten anything lately no frags from friends in the last month ?

Couldn't he house his crabs temporarily in the qt tank? I am sorry to hear this you have very nice corals. Good thing you found them now give'em hell.

The one that would have saved you a lot of stress and heartache lol I'm just kidding:DPerhaps you could set one up and try to trap them. The DIY coke bottle trap works like a charm.

I have to admit that I don't do a lot of the "normal things I SHOULD". I depend WAY to much on observation and intuition:( This is just an example of it coming back to bite me.

Can FISH transport red bugs?

A bluethroat trigger is the only thing I've recently added.

Doubt it, most likely you have had red bugs since your last frag, just didn't proliferate until recently....
