Admittedly I can get a little excitable about things I find in my tank, however when doing a daylight flashlight search of caves (which I actually do fairly often) I think I've found lots and lots of little fry. How many are in a typical batch? I'm sure my blenny will eat a bunch, but aside from him i only have the 2 clowns, 2 tangs 4 chromis and a dragonet in a 120... if i put in some coral food what are the odds of survival?
Now a little about what I'm actually seeing. They are very small, probably 4 or 5 mm long. They move like fish with little fishy eyes. I've seen freshwater fry before, but never outside of a controlled tank. These guys are hiding in alot of the nooks and crannies and seem very light shy so its hard to really get a look. I have seen them swim enough to say they aren't "shrimping" to move around.
The clowns in this tank are 2 false percs purchased together in late winter. They typically keep to themselves in the back of the tank so I never get to see their activities. Any other ideas of what I'm seeing or how to increase the chances for these little guys?
