I have had my elegance coral for about a month now and it has opened up fully every single day i have had it. Yesterday i saw that it had these little white things all over it and around its mouth. It has been shriveled since yesterday and i have read that this is the warning signs of ECS. I was wondering if i need to remove my elegance my tank or let it die in the tank.

will it dying hurt my other inhabitants?
could the disease spread to other LPS?

I don't not know much about elegance corals, so any information is appreciated

thanks!

here is a pic of it looked like when it was healthy

Wondering the same thing?

Maybe Elegance Coral Syndrome LOL.

Sorry for the joke. Hope your coral is ok.

I would love to see a pic of the white specks please to make sure it is not some sort of parasite rather than the skin of the coral itself ribbing in and bunching up.
They can go downhill fast so a pic of it's current state would help out alot

I feed it a mixture of mysis/brine soaked in vitamins/garlic

(its the same stuff i feed my fish)

I would consider this not open and stressing. When totally open that coral should be quite large. All healthy ones I have seen or owned have had a base about 1/10 of the size as inflated. Are you feeding the mouths directly? I feed slivers of silversides and krill.
