Ich or Disease Resistant Reef Fish

Foxfaces are very nervous and high-strung, IME - very vulnerable to stress, and prone to ich also. They *can* and do overcome it in the right circumstances, but they are not resistant to it, for sure. They are also venomous - not that that is relevant but it's FYI to anyone considering one. Caution is required in handling them.

Hawkfishes, IME almost never get sick with anything. I've even had them survive a Vibrio outbreak in my sell system (a few months after I opened my shop, 8 years ago). Definitely hardy - but they also aren't very reef-friendly - they eat all kinds of small crustaceans and snails.

Tony,

Although the pages are formatted horribly, the information over at WetWebMedia is an invaluable resource.
