So I have a purple tang that has ick. It was a rescue from another tank. I took the fish and started treating with copper power. All the ick (salty looking spots) have fallen off but I noticed that its slime coat still has the impression of the Ick. It’s almost like “ghosting” left behind where the ick cysts were previously attached. It’ll be in QT for 30 days + but has anyone else watched a fish recover from ick? Does the fish regenerate it’s slime coat and look normal again? Just wondering what to expect?

Yes. If it is fully healed, once out of copper and on a good diet, it will fully recover.
