Noticed this little thing pop up in one of my tanks... No idea what it is. It doesn't look like a sponge.

Got this acro from Cliff back in the summer. It was a brown out, now it's much more green. I couldn't get the green to pick up with the camera. It's my sole surviving "stick" so I'd love for it to have a name.

Woah. A sponge, really? It's so different from the small pineapple or even the lumpy black nodule-looking sponges.

Thanks for the positive ID on it, Robb! It's in an area of high light and flow, so I'm hoping that works well for a tri-color valida.

That first pic almost looks like a hydro but I really haven't seen enough first hand to say definitively.

And I am 100% sure - because I fragged that one myself... hehe

Hackman, oh boy. I'd rather it be a sponge than a hydro. So far the only hydroids I've seen have been the ones that stay on the glass.

Robb, no wonder you knew!

Tamara, I can frag you a couple more "sticks" if you want. I don't have any high end stuff with any size on it, but there is some good sized stuff I can cut.
